*This product uses solid wood, so the wood may expand and contract depending on the season. It contracts in winter when it is dry and expands in summer due to humidity. Therefore, we do not use guide rails. Please note that the drawers may become difficult to open and close when the wood expands. Please open and close the drawers carefully with both hands.
*Cracking may occur depending on the humidity level in the air. Solid wood adapts to environmental humidity, temperature, and exposure to sunlight, so it may continue to move for years if placed too close to a heat source such as a radiator or fireplace, or in a place with strong sunlight.
*Repeated wet wiping can cause cracking due to drying. While there are treatments to prevent this, they create a sheen and luster that detracts from the antique-like atmosphere, so we intentionally do not apply such treatments. We recommend dry wiping.
*When opening doors or drawers, there may be a smell of wood or paint. This will naturally disappear after a certain period of use, but if you are concerned, please use a commercially available deodorizer. Please understand that this product has been properly stored in a warehouse.

[Characteristics of Solid Wood Material]
Generally, products sold in Japan even if made of solid wood, may have thin plywood or other materials coated on them. This is to make minor cracks less noticeable, or to solidify with a coating material to prevent minor cracks from occurring.

Brand Juillet's original furniture is made with the concept of becoming antique in the future, unlike commonly distributed furniture. Since coating would remove the natural texture of the material, we do not apply any special coatings, and instead use traditional methods inherited from the 1800s. We hope you will enjoy the minor cracks and the texture gained through use.

There is no solid wood that will never crack. Even if dried for decades during the manufacturing process, cracks can occur due to shrinkage. To prevent cracking as much as possible, although there are individual differences, please be careful not to let it dry out.

Upon arrival, the furniture undergoes inspection by a furniture specialist, and before shipment, it undergoes a second inspection by the shipping company. Please refrain from applying if you are particular about minor details.
