A classic cabinet with a straight silhouette that suppresses sweetness.
The antique-style paint is
all handmade by artisans who carefully apply their skills.

Ample storage capacity.
In addition to its beautiful design, its ease of use is also attractive.
The drawers also have stoppers,
allowing them to be pulled out to their maximum extent, which is a nice feature.
If you decorate the top with a mirror, it will become the impressive focal point of the room.

The rich, antique-like texture
is the result of the craftsman's handiwork.
You will feel a charm that cannot be found in mass-produced furniture.

It is carefully painted inside and out in Nuage.
It is an exquisite color that mixes white and greige,
like a cloudy sky.
As the years pass, a slightly faded texture will be added,
making it even more French chic and sophisticated.

The top board has an antique oak-style finish
that makes use of the texture of solid wood.
Each piece is intricately carved by artisans
to create a unique texture.
The paint is a light gray, leaving the knots and grain of the wood,
and finished with natural wax (beeswax).

Cute ring-shaped handles and
the surrounding decorations are a classical accent.
It would also be lovely with tassels attached.
A brand plate is attached to the back.

This product is available in two sizes: 150 and 180.
Please choose according to your use and space.

It fits beautifully as a living room board in front of a sofa,
even with a TV placed on it.
It is taller than a typical Japanese TV board, but
it is a good height for viewing while sitting on a sofa or at a dining table.
In France, people often hang TVs on the wall above cabinets,
perhaps feeling that the cabinet itself is too low.

A hole for electrical cords can be made in the back.
When using equipment,
you will need to open the door,
but normally, all inorganic items such as cords and equipment
can be hidden, making the room neat and tidy.

Repair fees start from 5,500 yen (tax included) per location.
As this is part of our warehouse work,
we offer it at a low price.
If you are in a hurry or specify a date,
it will be a separate estimate, so please understand.

[Blanc de Juillet Original Furniture]
Aiming to create antique furniture, we manufacture it using the same methods as around 1800.
Therefore, chemical treatments such as waterproofing
are kept to a minimum, and the finish is done to avoid a glossy appearance.
It is meant to be used to bring out its charm and to enjoy the aging process.

If you wipe the top board with a wet cloth every time, the paint will gradually peel off after a few years.
To prevent peeling and cracking,
you could easily stop it by painting and finishing with varnish, but
it would become quite glossy and look like a common mass-produced item.
With such a finish,
scratches would just be ugly scratches, and aging would just be getting old.

Please enjoy the changes while understanding its characteristics, including stains and scratches.
We hope you will use it until it becomes a true antique furniture!

Features
Indonesian LEGAL Wood
This is a very important mark introduced by the Indonesian government for the protection of the Earth's nature. It certifies that there is no illegal logging and that the wood is sourced from plantations rather than natural or protected forests.
*Blanc de Juillet waterproofs the product after it arrives in Japan. Since it is a simple waterproof treatment, if water spills, it will naturally soak in after about an hour. We use a simple waterproof treatment to prevent compromising the texture with gloss or shine that a full waterproof treatment would cause. Although it is now more resistant to stains and scratches compared to conventional products, please be careful as placing hot items on it may leave marks.
*To create an antique-like texture, a natural finish is used. Scratches and worn-out dirt are painted on. If you look closely, they are finely drawn with a brush.

*Since this product uses solid wood, the wood may expand or contract depending on the season. It contracts in dry winter and expands due to humidity in summer. Please understand this.
*Cracks may occur depending on the moisture level in the air. Solid wood adapts to environmental humidity, temperature, and exposure to sunlight, so it may move even after many years if placed in a brightly lit area or too close to heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces.
*Repeated wiping with a wet cloth can cause dryness and cracking. While there are treatments to prevent this, they create a glossy finish that detracts from the antique look, so we intentionally do not apply such treatments. We recommend wiping with a dry cloth.
*This product is only available for bank transfer and credit card payments.
*No returns. We only deliver good quality products. Customers who are concerned about minor details should refrain from purchasing.

[Characteristics of solid wood material]
Generally, products sold in Japan
even if they are solid wood, may have thin plywood or other materials coated on them.
This is either to make minor cracks less noticeable,
or to prevent minor cracks by hardening with a coating material.

Blanc de Juillet's original furniture
is made with the concept of becoming an antique in the future,
unlike commonly available furniture.
Since coating would remove the natural texture,
we do not apply any coatings and manufacture it using traditional methods passed down from the 1800s.
We hope you will enjoy the minor cracks and the texture gained through use.

There is no solid wood that will absolutely not crack.
Even if it is dried for decades during manufacturing, cracks can occur due to shrinkage.
To minimize cracking as much as possible,
although there are individual differences, please be careful not to let it dry out too much.

Upon arrival, it is inspected by furniture specialists,
and before shipping, it is inspected twice by the shipping company.
Those who are concerned about minor details should refrain from applying.
