This Brand Juillet original placemat is made using high-quality French fabric from Casal. The high-quality 100% cotton fabric features a traditional French Toile de Jouy pattern. It depicts fabric craftsmen of the time amidst a picturesque rural landscape, beautifully recalling the various stages of the printing process. The cotton texture is preserved, and it has been treated to be water-repellent. It's very convenient as you can simply wipe it clean. The red trim adds a sharp finishing touch. This woolly finish is a unique technique not seen elsewhere. We worked closely with the manufacturing workshop to achieve this beautiful finish. By giving the classic Toile de Jouy a casual feel, it has evolved into a sophisticated,大人可愛い (adult-cute) style that is easy to incorporate into modern life. About water-repellent treatment

The water-repellent treatment is applied only to the front side; the stitched areas and the back side are not treated.

Care

For basic care, frequently wipe with a firmly wrung damp towel. This can prevent discoloration and darkening.

【Dry Cleaning】
Please inform the cleaner of the fabric material. This ensures that detergents suitable for the material will be used. 3-4 washes are fine. The water-repellent effect lasts for about 2-3 years.

【Home Hand Washing】
A neutral liquid detergent is recommended. Use a small amount of detergent and gently hand wash in lukewarm water (approx. 40 degrees Celsius or less). Avoid rubbing, as this can damage the fabric. Short spin cycle and hang dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Can be washed about 5-6 times, and the water-repellent effect lasts for about 2 years.

What if the water-repellent effect weakens?

Applying heat with an iron (no steam) using a pressing cloth can somewhat restore the water-repellent effect.
