Utilizing the sensibilities cultivated while working on the Astier de Villatte design team,
he creates products that value the environment and culture of the producers.
Using weaving techniques passed down through generations in Albania,
artisans carefully hand-weave the rugs on the same looms used long ago.
They use techniques such as flat weaving, knot weaving, and embroidery,
with each design being produced in one of three workshops with unique expertise.
The warp is cotton, and the weft is local Rude sheep wool.
The yarn and dyes are hand-dyed in the workshop,
expressing the delicate color shades desired by the designer.
