At the Fair Museum in Paris
Start 2022
How did you all celebrate the start of 2022?
I was invited by Ms. Elodie of the Paris Tourist Office to visit the Musée des Arts Foreigners and the Ennichi Museum.
January 1st is a public holiday in France.
Most shops and museums are closed,
The Ennichi Museum is open on January 1st as well.
I feel that New Year's Day at the fair museum is very auspicious.
The Ennichi Museum is located in the area called Bercy in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. Some of you may be familiar with the “Bercy Village”, a shopping center made up of historic wine warehouses.
But besides
There is about Bercy station and the building of the Ministry of Economy and Finance,
There are not many sights that foreign tourists go out of their way to visit.
I don't know if that's the reason
I had never heard of the Ennichi Museum.
But when I arrived, I remembered,
When I passed by before, I was surprised, "What is this?!"
A mysterious mansion with many gypsum heads lined up on the outer wall appeared,
I was stunned.
“This is a privately owned museum opened in 1996 by antique collector Jean-Paul Favant. A man, collecting festival decorations and performing arts is his passion.”
and Elodie.
Elodie has interviewed Favan (at his home!) and also told us how he decided to open the warehouse of his collection to the public as a museum.
On a large site consisting of four venues and a garden,
19th and 20th century collections are on display.
Both the collection and the venue are rented out for events and photo shoots.
Woody Allen's movie "Midnight in Paris"
I think it was filmed here.
Once you step inside,
Time slip to the frenzy of the end of the French century!
Speaking of Belle Epoque, revue.
Many of the costumes in the revue were authentic at the time!
All are available for rent.
The red plumage used by Josephine Baker weighs 6 kg.
Wear it and sing and dance.
As usual in a glamorous world, there was an unimaginable effort behind it...
The souvenir corner is also very nice.
Tin toys, posters, matches, etc.
Retro goods were lined up.
The selection is so attractive that I thought it was worth coming just to buy this. And it was a bargain price. )
Magic Miroir is a traveling dance hall in 1924.
Belgian wooden structures that could be dismantled and reassembled, and moved from town to town to liven up local festivals.
Speaking of the 20's, it's the art deco of longing.
The interior is the world of The Great Gatsby itself.
A player piano was still in use at the time, and was actually playing music.
There is also a dance time that anyone can freely participate in,
It really is a time slip.
In addition, there were many Instagrammable spots.
“For grandpa and grandma, it is a place where they can relive their nostalgic memories of fairs. For us, it is a place where we can experience the Paris we saw in movies and books. is open every day and has many performances, so we recommend visiting during this time.”
It was advice from Elodie.

Musee des Arts Foreigners
“The wine warehouse was built in 1859. Many of them were destroyed in the 1980s, but it is best that some of them have been preserved and kept alive in this way. While enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of being in the countryside.”
I agree with Elodie's words.
Why not visit us on your next trip to Paris?
Personally, I like it better than Euro Disney.
For that reason, we need to get the coronavirus to settle down...
Upon hearing the news of the spread of coronavirus infection by the French Omicron strain,
I think there are many people who are worried about it.
Looking only at the numbers
What the hell happened?
This is before Christmas and New Year's parties,
This is the result of everyone testing.
The more tests, the more positives will be found.
As you know, PCR tests are free in France.
Now there is an auto test that you can do at home,
Inspection access is very easy.
The country with the highest number of tests in Europe
The Minister of Regimental Health Veran was speaking on the radio the other day.
The number of infected people is certainly abnormal, but because of this background, people are responding calmly and continuing their lives.
Restaurants and cinemas are still open.
A friend of mine who spent the New Year holidays in Japan returned to Paris and said that when he arrived, he was disappointed by the gap between Japan and the image of Japan.
That's how I usually do it. However, it's a great enemy to be careless.
Then again
Abianto!
