The very popular classic cabinet, Pugliese.
While respecting tradition, its understated and moderate ornamentation makes it
an excellent item for taking the first step into French chic.
Ever since being captivated by 1800s French antiques imported when we opened our shop,
we have been searching for such items for many years.
However, due to their rarity and limited availability,
we decided to recreate them in a style suited for Japanese homes.
We have taken traditional European designs
and integrated them into modern interiors that blend seamlessly with Japanese rooms.
This is the Louis XVI style, without cabriole legs.
Its distinctive feature is the elegant, rounded curves on both sides.
Despite its large size, it doesn't feel imposing due to the absence of sharp corners.
The antique beige color is chic and soft.
It's not pure white, but rather
a subtle nuanced color created by mixing beige and gray with white.
Its warmth makes it easy to incorporate, and it pairs well with
wooden dining chairs, in addition to iron.
The elegant and beautiful carvings and
the antique-style finish are all done by hand by craftsmen.
The door, designed like a picture frame,
is adorned with button-like decorations at its four corners.
The charming key-motif handle is also sure to delight!
With a total of 7 drawers and doors, it offers excellent storage capacity.
The central interior shelf is fixed and cannot be moved.
The price has been kept down by simplifying the intricate construction.
Since there are no shelves on either side,
you can store long items like vases, which often pose storage challenges.
It also looks lovely with a mirror or framed art displayed on top of the cabinet.
Its moderate height allows you to decorate it with flowers, photos, small glass items, etc.,

Aiming to create antique furniture, we craft our pieces using the same methods as around 1800.
Therefore, chemical treatments such as waterproofing are
minimized, and the finish is applied just enough to avoid excessive gloss.
The intention is for the furniture to age beautifully with use, allowing you to enjoy its natural changes over time.
If the top surface is wiped with a wet cloth every time, the paint will gradually peel off after a few years.
To prevent peeling and cracking,
it can be painted and finished with varnish to easily stop it, but
this would result in a high gloss, like common mass-produced items.
With such a finish,
scratches would just be unsightly, and aging would just mean it's old.
Please embrace stains and scratches, and enjoy the changes as you understand the product's characteristics.

This is a very important mark for global environmental protection introduced by the Indonesian government. It certifies that there is no illegal logging and that the wood is sourced from plantations, not natural or protected forests.
*After arriving in Japan, Brand Juillet applies waterproofing. This is light waterproofing, so if water spills, it will naturally soak in after about 1 hour. Full waterproofing would create a shine and gloss that would detract from the texture, so we use light waterproofing. Although it is now less prone to stains and scratches compared to conventional products, please be careful as placing hot items on it may leave marks.
*To achieve an antique-like texture, a natural finish is applied. Scratches and worn-out dirt are painted on. If you look closely, you can see fine brush strokes.
*There are individual differences in wood grain patterns. Please be aware of this.

*The hardware parts of the door are designed with a slight allowance for movement. While there may be some shifting during delivery or use, you can easily rectify this by slightly adjusting the receiving hardware (top and bottom).
*As water-based paint is used, cracks like those shown in the image may appear. While there are paints that can prevent this, we use an environmentally friendly paint that does not produce shine to replicate the antique texture, so please understand.
*Since solid wood is used, the wood may expand or contract depending on the season. (It contracts in winter due to dryness and expands in summer due to humidity.) Therefore, guide rails are not installed. Please be aware that the drawers may become difficult to open and close if the wood expands. Please open and close them gently with both hands.
*Cracking may occur depending on the moisture level in the air. Solid wood adapts to environmental humidity, temperature, and sun exposure, so it may continue to move for years if placed in direct sunlight or too close to heat sources like radiators or fireplaces.

Brand Juillet's original furniture is created with the concept of becoming an antique in the future.
Coating would eliminate the natural texture of the material,
so we do not apply coatings and instead use traditional methods passed down since the 1800s.
We hope you will enjoy the fine cracks and the texture gained through use.
There is no solid wood that will absolutely never crack.
Even if dried for decades during the manufacturing process, shrinkage can still cause cracks.
To minimize cracking as much as possible,
although there are individual differences, please be careful not to let it dry out.
Upon arrival, our furniture specialists, and
before shipping, the shipping company conduct two inspections.
If you are particular about minor details, please refrain from applying.
