This 150cm size is perfect for Japanese homes.
While respecting tradition, its understated yet refined decoration makes it
an excellent item for taking the first step into French chic.

Ever since I was captivated by 19th-century French antiques
that I imported when opening my store,
I had been searching for such items for many years.
However, as they are rare and hard to come by,
I decided to recreate them in a style suited for Japan.

It combines the pristine condition of new furniture with an antique ambiance,
making it highly recommended for those who have been hesitant about antiques until now.
It exudes a sense of gravitas and will elevate your room to a sophisticated adult space.

We've taken traditional European designs
and incorporated them into contemporary interiors that blend seamlessly with Japanese rooms.
It's a Louis XVI style that doesn't use cabriole legs.
The elegant curves on both sides are distinctive, rounded and graceful.
The edgeless form prevents it from feeling imposing.

A subtle brown that gives a warm feeling like teak.
The wood grain is beautiful and becomes more flavorful with use.
The matte finish further accentuates the French aesthetic.

Its natural color makes it easy to incorporate,
and it pairs well with a wide range of interiors such as Western, Asian, Japanese modern, and Nordic.

The elegant and beautiful carvings

The central shelf inside is fixed and cannot be moved.
The price has been kept down by simplifying the intricate construction.
Since there are no shelves on either side,
you can store tall, slender items like vases, which often pose storage challenges.

It would also be lovely to display a mirror or framed art on top of the cabinet.
Its moderate height allows you to display flowers, photos, glass ornaments, etc.,
and create your own favorite stylish space.

Place even inorganic TVs on a beautiful stand.
A hole can be drilled in the back for power cords.
While you'll need to open the door when using devices,
normally all cords and devices are hidden, keeping it neat and tidy.

Aiming for antique furniture, we create our pieces using the same construction methods from around the 1800s.
Therefore, chemical treatments such as waterproofing
are minimized, and the finish is applied to prevent excessive shine.
We encourage you to dry-wipe it and let its beauty develop with use,
enjoying its aging process over time.

While it's fine to use maintenance oils or waxes,
the color will deepen as you apply them.
We recommend trying it in an inconspicuous area
and enjoying the color change.

If you wipe the tabletop with a wet cloth every time, it will crack after several years.
To prevent cracking,
it can be easily stopped by painting and finishing with varnish,
but this will result in a very glossy, common, mass-produced look.
With such a finish,
scratches will just look like plain dirt, and age-related changes will simply appear old.

Please embrace stains and scratches, and enjoy the changes as you understand the material's characteristics.

This is a very important mark for global natural conservation, introduced by the Indonesian government. It certifies that there is no illegal logging, and that wood is harvested from plantations rather than natural or protected forests.

*Waterproofing is applied at Brand Juriye after arrival in Japan.
Since it is simple waterproofing, moisture will naturally soak in after about an hour if spilled.
We use simple waterproofing to avoid giving it a full glossy finish which would spoil its texture.
Compared to conventional products, it is now less prone to stains and scratches,
but please be careful as placing hot items may leave marks.

*The construction of these doors is structurally challenging, especially the curved doors, which are extremely difficult to produce. There may be subtle differences in how the two doors meet, but please enjoy this as a characteristic of the product.

*The metal fittings of the doors are designed with a slight allowance for movement. While misalignment may occur during delivery or use, you can adjust the receiving fittings (top and bottom) slightly to ensure proper use.

*When opening doors or drawers, you may notice the scent of wood or paint. This will naturally dissipate after a certain period of use, but if it bothers you, please use a commercially available deodorizer. Please understand that the product has been properly stored in a warehouse.

*Since solid wood is used, the wood may expand or contract seasonally (contracting in winter due to dryness, expanding in summer due to humidity). For this reason, guide rails are not installed. Please note that when the wood expands, it may become difficult to open and close the drawers. Please open and close them carefully with both hands.

*Cracking may occur depending on the moisture level in the air. Solid wood adapts to environmental humidity, temperature, and exposure to sunlight, so it may continue to shift for years if placed in a location with strong sunlight or too close to heat sources like radiators or fireplaces.

[Characteristics of Solid Wood Material]
Generally, products sold in Japan,
even if made of solid wood, may have thin plywood or other materials coated on them.
This is either to make minor cracks less noticeable
or to prevent minor cracks from occurring by hardening them with a coating material.

Brand Juriye's original furniture,
unlike commonly distributed furniture,
is crafted with the concept of becoming an antique in the future.
Since coating would diminish the natural texture of the material,
we do not apply any special coatings and produce them using traditional methods passed down from the 1800s.
We hope you will enjoy the fine cracks and the texture that develops with use.

There is no solid wood that will never crack.
Even if dried for decades during the manufacturing process, cracks can still occur due to shrinkage.
To minimize cracking as much as possible,
while there are individual differences, please be careful not to let it dry out.

Upon arrival, items are inspected by furniture specialists,
and before shipping, they undergo a second inspection by the shipping company.
If you are particular about minor details, please refrain from applying.
