A collaboration series with popular New York artist John Derian.
John Derian creates plates using decoupage and other techniques in New York,
and is a very popular creator at Blanc de Juillet as well.

There are a total of 6 types of dinner plates in the zodiac series.
This design features Sagittarius, one of the twelve zodiac constellations.

The prevailing theory is that the constellation represents Chiron, a centaur (half-man, half-horse) from Greek mythology, drawing his bow.
Chiron was hit by a poisoned arrow shot by his disciple, Heracles.
Suffering from this, he abandoned his immortal body and ascended to the heavens to become a star.

Having extensive knowledge in medicine, music, and other fields, along with archery,
he has an intellectual demeanor.
The lower body clearly depicts the taut muscles of a horse.

The beautiful illustration of the starry sky on Astier's simple plate features rich, varied lines
as if drawn with a quill pen.
The style resembles antique paintings.

The colors are close to beige and cream yellow,
resembling antique paper and beautifully matching the pattern.
