Original placemat by Brand Juillet, made with high-quality fabric from José Leite de Castro. Made from durable fabric also used for chair upholstery, this velvet features a rare water-repellent finish. It's very convenient to just wipe clean. The color is T0515582 Lario Pearl. A bluish violet color that gives a sophisticated impression. The beautiful, supple sheen of the velvet allows you to enjoy color changes depending on the light and angle. The elegant luster of the velvet will add glamour to your usual table setting. The thin, light gray trimming, selected to match the fabric, adds a sharp accent. This woolly processing is a unique technique. We work closely with the manufacturing workshop to achieve a beautiful finish. The Brand Juillet tag also adds an accent! About Water-Repellent Finish

The water-repellent finish is applied only to the front side; the stitching and back side are not treated.

Care

For basic care, regularly wipe with a tightly wrung damp towel. This prevents discoloration and darkening.

【Dry Cleaning】
Inform the dry cleaner of the fabric material. They will use a detergent suitable for the material, ensuring safety. It's fine for 3-4 washes. The water-repellent effect lasts for about 2-3 years.

【Hand Washing at Home】
Liquid neutral detergent is recommended. Use a small amount of detergent and gently hand wash in lukewarm water (around 40 degrees Celsius or lower). Avoid rubbing, as it can damage the fabric. Keep spin-drying time short and hang dry in the shade in a well-ventilated area. It can be washed about 5-6 times, and the water-repellent effect lasts for about 2 years.

About Ironing

If it gets creased, apply steam from an iron for 20-30 seconds along the fabric grain to straighten it. Be careful not to apply the iron plate directly, as it will flatten the pile and make it shiny. For stubborn wrinkles, use a pressing cloth and apply steam iron directly along the fabric grain. Even if it doesn't completely disappear, it will gradually fade with use.

If the water-repellent effect weakens?

Applying heat with an iron (without steam) using a pressing cloth can slightly revive the water-repellent effect.
