Maintenance ~Hardwax Oil~

 

Ethnicraft furniture is made to adapt well to humidity.
Depending on the environment, some cracking or movement may occur, but this is a natural phenomenon as the furniture adapts to its surroundings.
The furniture is finished with tinted hardwax oil to achieve a natural color.
This finish makes it difficult for dirt to penetrate the wood and also provides protection, but if it gets dirty, wipe it off immediately.

 

【Daily Care】
For daily care, use a dry cloth.
If it gets dirty, wipe it in the direction of the wood grain using a damp cloth and natural soap.
Then wipe with a dry cloth.
*Do not use detergents or soaps containing chemicals.

Applying heat or extreme and repetitive use can damage the finish.
We recommend protecting the surface with placemats, coasters, or mousepads.
For vases and similar items, wipe them occasionally to prevent moisture and marks from remaining on the surface.

【Maintenance】
For maintenance, we recommend Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner (3029).
It restores the gentle wood texture and protects it.
It also strengthens the coating, but if it gets dirty, wipe it off immediately.

If you want to revive the hardwax coating,
we recommend using Osmo Hardwax Oil Natural (3041).

If there is discoloration, stubborn dirt,
or to remove scratches from the surface, sand the entire surface.
Then, ensure it is clean and dry before applying oil.
Spread the oil evenly over the entire surface,
and remove any excess oil to avoid stains after drying.
