Antique Black Iron Single Bed

This antique bed, circa 1900, was purchased at the Rungis Market in France.

Its charming design features rounded forms.
Though simple, the floral decorations at the joints provide an accent.

While a single size, due to the sizing conventions of the time,
it is about 15-20cm narrower than typical Japanese beds.
With a low floor height of 24cm, it's also a convenient height to use as a sofa.

The color is a rich, deep black.
It would look chic with dark-toned bed linens, but it would also be lovely with softer colors.

While there are signs of paint peeling, rust, scratches, and color variations,
we have applied a coating to minimize further deterioration,
allowing you to enjoy its natural aged appearance as is.

Since it is an antique iron frame,
there may be some slight flexing when weight is applied,
and it may produce some noise with movement.

While slats and a mattress are not included,
we can help you find them if you wish.
