we have also produced it for comfortable and long-lasting use.
The powerful single-pedestal design gives it an object-like presence.
The Tudor-style design with voluminous legs is
classic yet simple,
making it easy to incorporate into any interior style.
It's sized for four people to dine comfortably.
While a bit cramped for formal dining, it can accommodate up to six people.
At 120cm in diameter,
it is relatively small for a dining table,
but it ensures the minimum space required for dining.
Any larger than this,
a rectangular table would be more space-efficient.
Also, any smaller, the curve would become too sharp,
making comfortable dining difficult.
The tabletop's natural finish is appealing.
The gentle texture unique to solid wood creates a warm atmosphere.
Because high-quality wood is used,
stains such as those acquired during use
will develop a unique antique-like texture

Therefore, chemical treatments such as waterproofing
are kept to a minimum, and the finish is done to a non-glossy degree.
It is meant to be dry-wiped, used to bring out its charm,
and enjoyed for its aging.
If wiped with a wet cloth every time, it will crack after a few years.
To prevent cracking and peeling paint,
painting and finishing with varnish will easily stop it,
but it will become quite glossy, resulting in a finish like common mass-produced items.
With such a finish,
scratches will just be dirty scratches, and aging will just be old.
When dining, please primarily use a tablecloth or placemats.
If left wet for a long time, it will stain.

※After arriving in Japan, Blanc de Juillet applies waterproofing. While it makes it harder for spills to stain and for scratches to occur compared to conventional products, please be aware that placing hot items may leave marks.
※The waterproofing applied in Japan is simple waterproofing, so if liquid is spilled, it will naturally soak in after about an hour. Full waterproofing would result in gloss and luster, compromising the texture, so simple waterproofing is used.
※To achieve an antique-like texture, a natural finish is used. Scratches and worn-out dirt are painted on. If you look closely, they are finely drawn with a brush.
※Basically, please use a mat or tablecloth. Over time, it will age into a more authentic antique.
※Repeated wet wiping will cause drying and cracking. There are processes to prevent this, but they would result in gloss and luster that would detract from the antique-like atmosphere, so such processes are intentionally avoided. Dry wiping is recommended.

There is no solid wood that will absolutely not crack.
Even if dried for decades during the manufacturing process, cracks can still occur due to shrinkage.
To minimize cracking as much as possible,
while there are individual differences, please be careful not to let it dry out too much.

again by the shipping company before dispatch.
