ASTIER DE VILLATTE Astier de Villatte A high-quality ceramics brand that has an atelier in Paris and produces all items by hand. It is widely known both in and outside of France. This dining table, which has been reissued after a long period of time, and is making its first appearance in Japan, is a masterpiece filled with Astier's dedication and skill. It is sized to comfortably seat 8 people for a meal. While it might be a bit snug for formal dining, it can accommodate up to 10 people with smaller chairs. The enchanting and beautiful shape is born through a very intricate process. Adhering to techniques from before the 19th century, it is handmade by craftsmen in Astier's workshop in Paris. The material used is solid oak from Eastern Europe. To bring out the texture of the wood grain, it is finished naturally with casein, which has been used as a paint for a long time, and wax. The voluminous design, reminiscent of Tudor style, is classic yet simple and easy to incorporate. Because natural materials are used, even black does not become too strong and blends seamlessly into the room. It suits spaces with light wood like Nordic style, and in classic style, it moderately brings out a sense of grandeur. It adds an antique nuance and creates Astier's deep worldview.
