Paris News: Astier de Villatte Showroom and Maison & Objet 2023
Maison & Objet was held again this year in January 2023.

Maison & Objet is an international trade fair for interior and miscellaneous goods.
For interior lovers,
This is a major event that you definitely want to attend.
Owner Nakagawa is a veteran who has been visiting Maison & Objet for over 10 years.
In recent years, I have been doing Instagram Live from the venue,
Apart from taking orders, he seems to be very busy filming for YouTube as well.
When you're nearby, you can really see that all of this is for the benefit of all Japanese interior design fans.

"It's finally become possible to get these kinds of anemones in Japan," says owner Nakagawa.
For many people, anemones are the flower that brings to mind Paris.
You can always find it at the Marche.
However, what makes it uniquely Astier de Villatte is the choice of these deep colors rather than the usual blue or red.
It also goes well with a dignified-looking flower vase.

Everything is the world of Astier de Villatte's aesthetic sense!
This is the kind of life I want to live!!
You don't need a lot of stuff, just what you really like.

We asked Owner Nakagawa about this exhibition.
"The Astier exhibition is a rare opportunity to learn more about the concepts behind new works and new endeavors.
I was also looking forward to meeting the designers and staff members who I only get to see twice a year!
I can't show you any new images, but there were some really great items.
Also, we have three exciting pieces of news...!!!
Firstly, the workshop has been upgraded to twice the size it was before!
It looks like the delivery time will be much quicker from now on.
“Secondly, furniture orders are back on!!
We used the table and chairs for tea time😆
Thirdly, glass production has resumed 🥂
I'm sure there are many people who have been waiting for this.
The sophisticated design is inherited,
It has evolved into tempered glass and is now practical. We look forward to seeing what happens."
I can't wait for the new items to arrive.

Since I have the opportunity, I would like to introduce two things that I checked out at this Maison & Objet event.
As I mentioned when I helped with the Paris walking Instagram live, I felt that there were many manufacturers that were eco-conscious.
Locally produced furniture, natural materials, etc. Along those lines, there were some interior pieces that used paper, which I thought were interesting.
For example, this manufacturer makes all of the props and stage equipment used for events and in-store decorations out of paper.
It is a French manufacturer.
This is an Italian manufacturer.
The main exhibit was tapestry,
The lighting made from upcycled book pages was lovely.
At first glance, it looks like dried flowers. It's interesting, isn't it?
There are heavy pieces like tapestries and paper chandeliers, which are light in both material and approach.
I also felt that the balance between lightness and weight was excellent.
