PO!PARIS is involved in activities that promote the liberation of women in developing countries.
The design is by John Felici, the founder of PO!PARIS.
Having experience on Astier de Villatte's design team,
He leverages his talent for bringing distant worlds together
and creates products that value the environment and culture of the producers.
Weaving is a very old tradition in Albania.
Even today, 3 to 4 people still line up at the same looms as in the past to weave.
Using techniques such as plain weave, knotted weave, and embroidery,
It is made in three workshops, each with its own unique expertise, depending on the design.
The warp is cotton, and the weft is wool from local Rude sheep.
The yarn is hand-dyed, and the patterns are dyed while applying vibrations.
Since the yarn and dyes are also produced in the workshop,
They can reproduce the delicate colors desired by the designer.
