The intricate braided rim, which can only be achieved by hand,

The Josephine series
is designed by Setsuko Klossowska de Rola,
the wife of French painter Balthus.

This ceramic collection, a tribute to
Josephine de Beauharnais, Napoleon's Empress (first wife),
was first unveiled at the "REGARDS DE SETSUKO" (Setsuko's Gaze) exhibition
held at the Château de Malmaison in October 2025.

Château de Malmaison, now a national museum,
is where Josephine spent her later years and is known as the residence she purchased with Napoleon.
