ASTIER DE VILLATTE
A high-quality ceramic brand that has an atelier in Paris and produces everything by hand. It is widely known both in and outside of France.
Based on the concept of "art in everyday life," it features sophisticated designs that are thin, light, durable, and perfect for daily use.
A variety of beautiful ceramics created in a Parisian atelier that carries on 18th-century craftsmanship.
The Josephine collection features
braided decorations carefully woven by hand.
The intricate braided rim, which can only be achieved by hand, adds warmth,
and the wide rim beautifully enhances the food, creating a modern form.
The 26cm dinner plate has an elegant, generous rim and a simple, beautiful design that makes food stand out.
The Joséphine series was
designed by Setsuko Klossowska de Rola,
wife of the French painter Balthus.
From table collections like plates
to art-piece-like compotes with serial numbers,
it's a series that can be enjoyed throughout the entire interior.
This ceramic collection, an homage to
Joséphine de Beauharnais, Napoleon's Empress (first wife),
was first unveiled in October 2025 at the Château de Malmaison Museum
during the "REGARDS DE SETSUKO" (Setsuko's Perspectives) exhibition.
The Château de Malmaison, now a national museum,
is where Joséphine spent her later years
and is known as the residence she purchased with Napoleon.
