PO!PARIS
This eye-catching fish-shaped rug from PO!PARIS.
It's an item that instantly brightens up any space.
It features a charming design of colorful, three-dimensional tiger fish.
The fringed fins and a hint of something edgy are irresistible.
It's perfect not only for your living room or beside your bed,
but also looks great hung on a wall above a cabinet.
All PO!PARIS items are handmade by women.
With the help of a designer based in Paris,
they work to promote the empowerment of women in developing countries.
The designs are by French artist Nathalie Lete.
She has created many works, including the Fleur series for Astier de Villatte, and her colorful, rustic worldview is loved by many.
Weaving is a very old tradition in Albania.
Even today, the rugs are woven on the same vertical looms used in ancient times.
They use techniques such as plain weave, knot weaving, and embroidery,
and are made in three workshops with unique expertise, depending on the design.
The warp is made of cotton, and the weft is made of local rude-breed sheep wool.
Since the yarn and dyes are also produced in the workshops,
they can reproduce the delicate color shades requested by the designer.
PO!PARIS not only promotes social enterprise in developing countries,
but also incorporates local expertise, using recycled or renewable materials such as car bodies, coffee sacks, and tree bark,
to create high-quality, charming, and sustainable products.
