Astier de Villatte Colbert Planche 1

ASTIER DE VILLATTE
ASTIER DE VILLATTE

A premium ceramics brand with an atelier in Paris, where all products are handmade. It is widely known both in France and abroad.
Based on the concept of “art for everyday life,” its sophisticated designs are thin, light, durable, and perfect for daily use.

Colbert was the finance minister who served King Louis XIV of France.
He elevated French “beauty” into a national industry and laid the economic and cultural foundations
for the modern “art de vivre” (art of living).

He was the man who nurtured France’s “beautiful craftsmanship” as a national industry.
His philosophy resonates with that of Astier.

A charming design shaped like a cutting board.

It seems like its uses are virtually endless,
from serving cheese, bread, and hors d’oeuvres to presenting lunch plates.
