[Pre-Order] Chinese Zodiac - Goat "Flower Calendar"

A One-of-a-Kind Chinese Zodiac Ornament to Brighten Your New Year

Yasuko Yumoto is the artist behind Hinamame.
“I want to cherish Japan’s ancient traditions, beautiful customs, and aesthetic sensibilities.”
With this in mind, she created Chinese zodiac dolls that can be displayed casually, like seasonal flowers.

The Chinese zodiac sign for 2027 is the Sheep (Hitsuji),
considered a lucky symbol that brings safety to the household and blessings in human connections.
The base is made from precious powdered paulownia wood, while the Sheep doll is crafted using the traditional craft of Mokume-komi, which involves inlaying threads into antique fabric.
The result is a round, charming figure in the vibrant colors characteristic of Hinamame.

A “Flower Calendar” Blooming with Good Fortune

The doll features a vibrant color palette based on red and adorned with plum blossoms.
Many customers request red, making this a popular piece.
Accents of light blue and green create a richly colorful appearance.

The back is adorned with a “wish-fulfilling” knot, while the head features a golden plum blossom knot symbolizing “forming bonds.”

Delicate Colors and Textures Born from Time-Honored Fabrics

Hinamame’s charm lies in its uniquely beautiful colors.
The pieces are made from “antique fabrics,” including kimonos and textiles dating back to the early Showa era.
Among these are rare, high-quality kimonos from the Edo period and the Meiji and Taisho eras,
featuring delicate patterns, embroidery, and intricate tie-dye techniques that possess a beauty not found in modern fabrics.

A Sturdy, Custom-Made Paulownia Box, Small Yet Reliable

The doll is delivered in a paulownia box crafted by the same artisan who has served Ms. Yumoto’s family for generations.
Paulownia wood is naturally resistant to insects and decay, flame-retardant, and moisture-resistant,
providing reliable protection for your precious doll.

The base is placed in a silk bag and stored inside the box.
Once it arrives, you can display it right away.

Authentic Japanese Style for French Living

True Japanese style, like that of Hinamame, fits seamlessly into any interior.
It pairs beautifully with doilies, cake stands, and trays.
Rather than limiting it to a Japanese-style room, please enjoy it freely in a setting of your choice.
