Velour placemat, dual blue [water-repellent]

An original placemat from Brand Juillet, made with high-quality fabric from José Leite de Castro. Made from durable fabric also used for chair upholstery, it features a rare water-repellent finish for velvet. It's very convenient as you can wipe it clean quickly. The color is T0614671 Dual Velvet. It's a calm, smoky shade of blue with a hint of aqua green. The supple luster of the velvet is beautiful, and you can enjoy color changes depending on the light and angle. The elegant luster of the velvet will brighten up your usual table. It is tightly finished with a thin light gray trimming selected to match the fabric. This woolly finish is a unique technique. We work closely with the manufacturing workshop to achieve a beautiful finish. The Brand Juillet tag also serves as an accent! Tablecloths of the same design are also available. Using them together will create a unified table setting. Tablecloths and placemats in different colors, Lario Pearl and Dual Blue, are also available. About Water Repellent Treatment

The water repellent treatment is applied only to the front surface; stitch areas and the back surface are not treated.

Care Instructions

For basic care, wipe frequently with a tightly wrung wet towel. This helps prevent discoloration and darkening.

【Dry Cleaning】
Inform the dry cleaner of the fabric material. They can use appropriate detergents, ensuring safety. It's fine for 3-4 washes. The water repellent effect lasts approximately 2-3 years.

【Hand Washing at Home】
Liquid neutral detergent is recommended. Use a small amount of detergent and gently hand wash in lukewarm water (approx. 40 degrees Celsius or less). Avoid rubbing as it can damage the fabric. Keep spin-drying short and air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. It can be washed about 5-6 times, and the water repellent effect lasts approximately 2 years.

【Home Dry Cleaning】
Liquid neutral detergent is recommended. Use a small amount of detergent, keep spin-drying short, and air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. It can be washed about 2-3 times, and the water repellent effect seems to last about 2 years without issues.

About Ironing

If wrinkles form, they can be removed by applying iron steam along the fabric grain for 20-30 seconds. Please be careful not to apply the iron directly as it can flatten the pile and make it shiny. For stubborn wrinkles, use a pressing cloth and apply direct steam ironing along the fabric grain. Even if not completely removed, they will gradually disappear with use.

What if the water repellent effect weakens?

The water repellent effect can be partially restored by applying heat with an iron (no steam) using a pressing cloth.
