A collaboration series with popular New York artist John Derian.
John Derian creates decoupage plates and other items in New York, and is a very popular creator at Blanc de Juillet as well.

There are 6 types of dinner plates in the constellation series, and this design features the constellation Antinous, shining in the night sky.

The beautiful youth Antinous was born around 111 AD and was a favorite of the Roman emperor. He has been depicted in numerous works of art, and a constellation made up of five stars, now part of Aquila, was named after him.

The beautiful starry sky illustration on Astier's simple plate features rich, nuanced lines that look as if they were drawn with a quill pen or similar nib. The touch is like an antique painting. The color is close to beige or cream yellow and beautifully matches the design, like antique paper.
